A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, ON THE 22nd DAY OF
SEPTEMBER, A. D. 1959 AND PROVIDING FOR THE
ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION TO THE CITY
OFFICER CHOSEN AT SAID ELECTION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION L. That from the canvass of the returns, it is hereby de-
clared that the result of the Special Election held in the City of
Edgewater, Florida, on September 22nd, 1959 is as follows: -
FOR UNEXPIRED TERM - MAYOR AT LARGE
John H. Gibbs Received 142 Votes
Crawford C. Shaeffer Received 312 Votes
Wallace F. Smith Received 66 Votes

SECTION 2. That the City Council of said City does hereby declare that
r.e„r....+ r_ Rh.s ff.r received the highest number of votes cast
for the office of Mayor at Large for the unexpired term, and is hereby
declared the regular elected Mayor of said City to serve the unexpired
term or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced by CouncilmanHenry
who moved this resolution be adopted, which motion was duly seconded by
Councilman Farrell and upon a roll call vote taken the same was de-
clared adopted this 23rd day of September, A.D. 1959, Vote of said Council
being as follows :-
