VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fl.ORiDA, ON THE 5th DAY OF NOV.
A. D. 1957 AND FROVIDIN3 FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION TO THE CITY OFFICERS
CHOSEN AT SAID ELECTION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That from the canvass of the returns, it is hereby declared
that the result of the Regular Election held in the City of Edgewater,
Florida, on November 5th, 1957 is as follows: -

Section 3. That the City Council of said City does hereby declaae that
George 0. Sedgwick received the highest number of votes case for the office
of Mayor for a term of two years, and Harry Broga District #1,
Crawford C. Shaeffer District #2, Robert J. Hecuejistrict #3, Bernard Farrell
District #4 received the highest number of votes case for the office of City
Councilmen for a term of two years, and is hereby declared the regularly
elected Mayor and Councilmen of said City to serve for a term of two years,
or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
Section 4. That the City Clerk of said City be and he is hereby directed
to furnish one certificate of election to George 0. Sedgwic&fayor, and one
certificate each to Harry W. Broga , Crawford C. Shaeffer, Robert J.
Henry , Bernard Farrell , Councilmen as of this date after the
passage of this Resolution. Said Certificate issued on the basis of each
receiving the highest number of votes. This includes six challenged votes
and excludes 9 defective Absentee Vote not counted, and is issued without
prejudice to the rights of your opponent due to the fact that the Council
has not counted the defective absentee votes and has not considered any
testimony or passed upon the validity of the challenges, the Council leaving
these two matters to the Courts for review, if any is sought.

The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced by Councilman
which motion was duly seconded by Councilman , and upon
a Roll Call vote being taken the same was declared adopted this 6th day
of November, A. D. 1957, the vote of said Countil on Roll Call being as
follows: —
