OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY
OF EDG&dATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA ON
THE 1st DAY OF SEPTEMBER A.D. 1953.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That from the canvass of the Returns, it is hereby
declared that the result of the Special Election held in the City
of Edgewater, Florida, on September let, 1953 is as follows: -

Section 8 of the Charter Creating four voting districts
Absentee Ballots

Section 10 of the Charter concerning the qualifications of
members.
For the Amendment 144
Against the Amendment 66 2
Section 14 of the Charter providing that .the mayor shall be
elected at large

Section 17 of the Charter providing for Council Meetings.
For the Amendment 183 2
Against the Amendment 36,
Section 136 of the Charter proving the City Council shall canvas
the returns at 4:00 P.M. the following day.

SECTION 2. That the City Council of said City do hereby declare
that all amendments were carried.
The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced by Councilman
Hauwhton who moved its adoption and said motion was duly seconded by
Councilman Fuller and upon Roll Call vote being taken the same
was declared adopted this 2nd day of September A.D. 1953, the vote
