RESOLUTION NO. 176
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NOMINEES FOR THE OFFICE
OF MAYOR OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER AND COUNCILMAN
FOR ZONE 2, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING
FOR A SPECIAL CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD MAY 16, 1967
AND PROVIDINGFORTHE PREPARATION AND PRINTING OF
BALLOTS FOR SAID ELECTION.
WHEREAS, petitions have been filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Edgewater, Florida, to have the names of William H. Cairnie
and Richard H. Seidel placed on the ballot for the office of Mayor
and the name of Clifton E. Mosher for Councilman from Zone 2 at a
special election to be held on May 16, 1967, in the City of Edgewater,
Volusia County, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the names of William H. Cairnie and Richard H.
Seidel, be placed on the official ballot as nominees for the office
of Mayor for the balance of the unexpired term of Mayor now existing
and the said William H. Cairnie and Richard H. Seidel, are hereby
declared to be duly nominated for said office and the name of Clifton
E. Mosher be placed on the ballot for Councilman€from Zone 2 for the
balance of the unexpired term of Councilman now existing and the said
Clifton E. Mosher be hereby declared to be duly nominated for said
office at a special election to be held on May 16, 1967.
Section 2. That the printing of the necessary ballots will be in
accordance with the advise 0d' Katherine Odham, and there will be printed
absentee ballots.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all resolutions or parts of resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded.
The above foregoing resolution was presented by Councilman
Walls who moved its adoption, said motion being
seconded by Councilman Rehhingt,nn Upon roll call vote, said
resolution was duly declared adopted at the regular meeting of said
City Council held on April 17, 1967. The vote of said Council upon
