A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL
TO OFFER AND PAY A REWARD NOT TO EXCEED
($200. 00) TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS TO ANYONE
FURNISHING INFORMATION LEADING TO THE
ARREST AND CONVICTION OF A PERSON OR PER-
SONS DEFACING, DESTROYING OR MUTILATING 67i
PUBLIC PROPERTY, r�
WHEREAS, recently public buildings have been subject to vandalism,
and other acts tending to deface, destroy or otherwise muitlate the said
public structures, and
WHEREAS, the city council has, after due deliberation, and in an effort
to apprehend persons guilty of commiting the said acts, has deemed it ad-
visable to offer a reward leading to the arrest and conviction of person or
persons defacing, destroying, mutilating or otherwise harming public
buildings, structures or vehicles or equipment.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the city council be and the same is hereby authorized and
empowered to offer a reward up to but not to exceed the sum of ($200. 00)
two hundred dollars to anyone furnishing information leading to the arrest
and conviction of a person or persons defacing, destroying, mutilating or
otherwise harming any public building or structure or vehicle or equipment,
the said public property to be defined as that owned by the City of Edgewater,
Florida.
Section 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith,
be and the same are hereby recinded.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage
by the city council and approval by the mayor.
The above and foregoing resolution was presented by councilman
Ledice who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded
by councilman Walls

Upon roll call vote said resolution was duly declared adopted at a regular
meeting of the city council held on August 21, 1967. The vote of said
council, upon said roll call being as follows:
