290RESOLUTION NO A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 275 SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE INCREASE IN SALARY OF PATROLMAN EVERETT A. MARTIN FROM $400 PER MONTH TO $435 PER MONTH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. WHEREAS, Patrolman Everett A. Martin: has completed Ian'°,� hundred hours of police training at Daytona Beach Junior �o College; and WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended that his salary be increased even though he has not yet completed six months employment with the City of Edgewater, Florida; and WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of approving the recommendation of the Chief of Police and granting the salary increase. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 275 be amended by deleting the requirement that Patrolman Everett A. Martin be employed by the City for a period of six months before becoming elegible for a raise in salary. SECTION 2. That the salary of Patrolman Everett A. Martin as Patrolman for the City of Edgewater, Florida, be and the same is hereby raised from Four Hundred ($400.00) Dollars per month to Four Hundred and Thirty -Five ($435.00) Dollars per month. SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall take effect retro- active from May 1, 1969. SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediate- ly upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Council- man No„m,,, who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman Ledbetter , and, upon roll call vote, the said Resolution was duly declared adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida held on the 5th day of May A.D., 1969; the vote of said Council upon roll call being as follows: � - C oved this 5th day of A.D., 1969. -2- ..� Mayor
