A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE
NOMINEES
FOR
THE OFFICE OF MAYOR OF THE
CITY OF
EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY,
FLORIDA,
AND
PROVIDING FOR A PRIMARY ELECTION
TO
BE
HELD OCTOBER 21, 1969, AND
PROVIDING
FOR THE
PREPARATION AND PRINTING OF
BALLOTS
FOR
SAID ELECTION.
WHEREAS, petitions have been filed with
the City
Clerk
of the �tf'
City of Edgewater, Florida, to have the names of William H. Cairnie,
George M. Dimm, Dana T. Armstrong, Adolph LaBonde and Otto F.
Pummer placed on the ballot for the office of Mayor at a Primary
Election to be held on October 21, 1969, in the City of Edgewater,
Volusia County, Florida:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the names of William H. Cairnie, George M.
Dimm, Dana T. Armstrong, Adolph LaBonde and Otto F. Pummer be
placed on the official ballot as nominees for the office of Mayor
and hereby declared to be duly nominated for said office at a
Primary Election to be held on October 21, 1969. Said election
to be voted on City wide. The names of the two candidates receiving
the largest number of votes to be placed on the ballot at the
Regular Election to be held November 4th, 1969, as provided by
local election laws.
Section 2. That the printing of the necessary ballots will
be in accordance with the advise of Katherine Odham, and there
will be printed absentee ballots.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all resolutions or parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded.
The above foregoing resolution was presented by Councilman
Dietz who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded
by Councilman Norman Upon roll call vote, said resolution
was duly declared adopted at the regular meeting of said City
Council held on October 6, 1969. The vote of said Council upon
said roll call being as follows:
