336C � Q RESOLUTION NO.3_36 A RESOLUTION URGING THE VOLUSIA COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TO INITIATE OR SUPPORT LEGISLATION WHICH WOULD RETURN AN ADDITIONAL PENNY -A -GALLON GASOLINE TAX TO ALL MUNICIPALITIES, FOR THE PURPOSE r OF MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING CITY STREETS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO EACH MEMBER OF THE VOLUSIA COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby urge the Volusia County Legislative Delegation to initiate or support legislation which would return an additional penny -a -gallon gasoline tax to every municipality in the State of Florida, to be used for the maintenance and improvement of city streets. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized to transmit a copy of this Resolution to each member of the Volusia County Legislative Delegation. SECTION 3. That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
