A RESOLUTION URGING THE SUPPORT OF
THE LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION FROM
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA OF AN
ADDITIONAL ONE CENT GASOLINE TAX
TO BE RETURNED TO CITIES IN ORDER
TO PROVIDE A SOURCE OF REVENUE FOR
STREET CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF � �
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the Legislative Delegation for
Volusia County, Florida be and the same is hereby urged
to support any Bill for an additional one cent gasoline
tax, said one cent to be returned to each city and ear-
marked as revenue for street construction and maintenance.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk be and she is hereby
authorized to send a copy of this Resolution to each member
of the Legislative Delegation representing Volusia County,
Florida, and to the Governor of the State of Florida and
to the Florida League of Cities.
SECTION 3. That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded.
SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by
Councilman Ganta who moved its adoption, said
motion being seconded by Councilman Wiggins , and, upon
roll call vote, the said Resolution was duly declared
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Edgewater, Florida held on the 5th day of April,
April, A.D. 1971.
