436a RESOLUTION NO. 436 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SUPPORT OF THE GURNEY AMENDMENT AND THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING BILL, S.3651 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. AQ WHEREAS, the City Council is in favor of the General Revenue Sharing Bill, S. 3651, and WHEREAS, the City Council is not infavor of the feature of the bill which would penalize Florida for not having a state personal income tax, and WHEREAS, Senator Ed Gurney has proposed an amendment to S. 3651, which would eliminate the penalty against Florida, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1: The City Council hereby lends its support to S. 3651 and the Gurney Amendment. Section 2: That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. Section 3: That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
