A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN ELECTION CLERK,
INSPECTORS AND A SPECIAL OFFICER FOR THE
PRIMARY CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, 4,4-
OCTOBER 2Q A.D., 1972 AND THE GENERAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 7, 1972.
WHEREAS A Primary City Election and General Election shall be
held in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, on October 24,
1972 and November 7, 1972, respectively, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that an election clerk, inspectors and
a special officer be appointed, in compliance with the charter laws of the
City of Edgewater, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Alice Baker be and she is hereby designated and
appointed election clerk for the Primary City Election and General Election
to be held in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, on October
24, A.D. 1972 and November 7, 1972, respectively, with full power and
authority to do and perform all the duties of said office as fixed and defined
by the charter and ordinances of said City and the laws of the State of
Florida.
SECTION 2. That Elmer k. Thierbach, Theresa G. Christie, Pat
Svobda, Carolyn Boreck, Ilene Whitlock, Dorothy Sauerman, Barbara Sorenson
and Loretta Shaeffer be, and they are hereby designated and appointed
inspectors for the Primary City Election and General Election to be held in
the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, on October 24, 1972 and
November 7, 1972, respectively, with full authority to do and perform all
the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the charter and ordinances
of said City and the laws of the State of Florida.
SECTION 3. That William H. Cairnie be, and he is hereby designated
and appointed as Special Officer for the Primary Election to be held in the

City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, on October 24, 1972 with full
power and authority to do and perform all the duties of said office as fixed
and defined by the charter and ordinances of said City and the laws of the
State of Florida. The said William H. Cairnfe shall also serve as special
officer in the November 7, 1972 General Election if the Volusfa County
Special Officer is unable to attend.
SECTION 4. Be it further resolved that all resolutions and parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. The
above and foregoing resolution was presented by Councilman Wi g9i ,
who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman
Cri q,,e„ and upon roll call vote the said resolution was
duly declared adopted at the Regular Meeting of the said City Council held
on October 2, 1972. The roll call vote of said Council was as follows:
