A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,—r
FLORIDA PERMISSION TO REPLACE AN EXISTING PALMETTO r' ; 1
LOG SEAWALL WITH A MORE DURABLE STRUCTURE AND
GRANTING PERMISSION TO SAID CITY FOR THE ENLARGE-
MENT OF A BOAT RAMP, BOTH PROJECTS BEING LOCATED
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE AREA KNOWN AS THE
EDGEWATER PARK AND PIER AREA, OWNED BY THE CITY OF EDGEWATER;
FURTHER, AUTHORIZING THE VOLUSIA COUNTY GOVERNMENT
TO CONSTRUCT THE RAMP AREA, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater has submitted an application to the City
Council for a permit pursuant to Chapter 253.124 (8) Florida Statutes, and the
City Council having determined that said application is in compliance with
the law,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the City of Edgewater is hereby granted permission to
replace an existing seawall and enlarge a boat ramp, both projects being
located on the North side of the Park and Pier area, a public area owned by
the City of Edgewater, Florida, bordering on Indian River North immediately
East of the City Hall.
SECTION 2. That the Volusla County Government is hereby authorized to
construct the boat ramp area.
SECTION 3. That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith
be rescinded.
SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman Ganta
who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded
by Councilman Severance , and upon roll call vote, the said
Resolution was duly declared adopted at a special meeting of the City Council
