457I RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION OF FLORIDA TO MAKE A TRAFFIC SIGNAL STUDY AT THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROAD 5 AND OCEAN AVENUE IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AND FURTHER REQUESTING THAT A PERMIT BE ISSUED FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT AT SAID INTERSECTION, AND FURTHER PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater, Florida, hereinafter called City, desires the Department of Transportation of Florida, hereinafter called DEPARTMENT, to make a Traffic Signal Study, and further desires said Department to issue a "Permit" to the City for the installation of a certain traffic light. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 That the City does hereby request a "Permit" to be issued for a traffic signal at the intersection of State Road #5 and Ocean Avenue, Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida. SECTION 2. That the City will install the type of signal recommended by the Department and pay for the signal out of local funds. SECTION 3. That the City will maintain the traffic signal in accordance with the Department of Transportation Traffic Signal Maintenance recommendations, and the Signal Operating Plan. SECTION 4. That the City will pay the electrical charges for operating the signal. SECTION 5. That the City will not make any significant changes to the signal operation, to include timing, without prior Deaprtment of Transporation approval. SECTION 6. That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. SECTION 7Z. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman Clinton who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman Bevel , and, upon roll call vote, the said Resolution was duly declared adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, held on the 5-7% day of February, 1973, the vote of said Council upon roll call being as follows: ATTEST: City Clerk Approved this -6 day of February, 1973.
