484RESOLUTION NO. 484 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A PRIMARY ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA ON OCTOBER 23, 1973 TO �, ASCERTAIN THE NOMINEES TO BE VOTED UPON FOR MAYOR AND COUNCILMAN FROM ZONE 1 IN THE NOVEMBER 6, 1973 GENERAL ELECTION. 1t. , ') BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, d' o FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the following votes were received by the following candidates for Mayor in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, at a Primary Election held October 23, 1973 for Mayor HOWARD BUCHANAN received 139 votes. WILLIAM H. CAIRNIE received 36 votes. GEORGE M. DIMM received ,Z votes. SECTION 2- That William H. Cairnie and George M. Dimm be and they are hereby declared to be the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes in said Primary Election and their names be and the same shall be placed on the ballot as candidates for Mayor at the General Election to be held in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida on November 6, 1973. SECTION 3. That the following votes were received by the following candidates for Councilman from Zone 1 in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, at a Primary Election held October 23, 1973 for Councilman from Zone 1: JACOB LODICO received votes. CHARLES I. McINTIRE received 80 votes. LOUIS J. ROTUNDO received 3 votes. SECTION 4. That Jacob Lodico and Louis J. Rotundo be and they are hereby declared to be the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes in said Primary Election and their names be and the same shall be placed on the ballot as candidates for Councilman from Zone 1 at the General Election to be held in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida on November 6, 1973. SECTION 5. That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. SECTION 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this Resolution as required by law. SECTION 7. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon Its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman Clinton who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman Severance The first reading of the above Resolution Was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a Regular meeting of said Council held on the 24th day of October , A.D. , 1973, and approved as provided by law.
