A RESOLUTION PLEDGING THE CITY COUNCIL SUPPORT
AND APPROVAL OF THE VOLUSIA VISITING NURSES
ASSOCIATION'S EFFORT TO PROVIDE A HEALTH FACILITY
TO SERVE THE SOUTHEAST VOLUSIA AREA, REPEALING ALL
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN �g
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. dA

WHEREAS, the Southeast Volusia Visiting Nurses Association has undertaken
the providing of the proper health facility to serve the Southeast Volusia
area, and
WHEREAS, accomplishing this purpose will necessitate construction of a
new building, and
WHEREAS, this building will be located in New Smyrna Beach to serve con-
veniently the bulk of the Southeast Volusia residents, and
WHEREAS, these services will benefit not only the entire community of
New Smyrna Beach but Edgewater, Oak Hill and surrounding areas, and
WHEREAS, it will be located in a specific location so as to expedite
these services to the low socio-economic areas,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the City Council pledges their support and approval of
the Volusia Visiting Nurses Association's effort to provide a health
facility to serve the Southeast Volusia area.
SECTION 2. That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman ,Ia,
who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman ,

and upon roll call vote, said Resolution was duly declared adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
held on the day of February, 1976; the vote of said Council upon
roll call being as follows:
