A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A
PRIMARY ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA ON OCTOBER 19, 1976 TO
ASCERTAIN THE NOMINEES TO BE VOTED UPON FOR
COUNCILMAN FROM ZONE 4 IN THE NOVEMBER 2, 1976
GENERAL ELECTION, ALSO DECLARING THE NOMINEES
TO BE VOTED UPON FOR COUNCILMAN FROM ZONE 2 IN
THE NOVEMBER 2, 1976 GENERAL ELECTION, REPEALING AGO
ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the following votes were received by the following candidates
for Councilman from Zone 4 in theCity of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida,
at a Primary Election held October 19, 1976 for Councilman from Zone 4:
CALVIN R. DIETZ received 279, votes
JAMES J. MACKIE, JR. received I3 9 votes
FRANK E. OPAL received a4,3 votes
PATRICIA ANN WALKER received 56 votes
SECTION 2. That Calvin R. Dietz and Frank E. Opal be and they are hereby
declared to be the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes
in said Primary Election and their names be and the same shall be placed
on the ballot as candidates for Councilman from Zone 4 at the General
Election to be held in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida,
on November 2, 1976.
SECTION 3. That the names William H. Cairnie and Henry C. Riggs shall
be placed on the ballot as candidates for Councilman from Zone 2 at the
General Election to be held in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County,
Florida, on November 2, 1976.
SECTION 4. That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

SECTION 5. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
The foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman
who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman
and upon roll call vote the said Resolution was duly declared adopted at the
regular meeting of the said City Council held on the _��—day of October,
1976. The roll call vote of the Council being as follows:
