742RESOLUTION NO. ly-IL A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF LAYNE ATLANTIC CO. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE I OF THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL CONTRACTUAL DOCUMENTS WITH LAYNE ATLANTIC CO. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE I ZAP TO THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, advertised for bids for improvements to the water treatment plant for the City, and WHEREAS, Layne Atlantic Co. has submitted the low bid for the improvement to the water treatment plant, and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of Briley, Wild & Associates, consulting engineers for the City of Edgewater, Florida, to award said contract to Layne Atlantic Co., and WHEREAS, it has been determined that there are funds presently available for the payment of this contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 'OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the bid of Layne Atlantic Co. in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty-six Thousand ($256,000) Dollars for the construction of Phase I to the water treatment plant in the City of Edgewater, Florida, is hereby accepted, and all other bids are hereby rejected. Section 2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute all contractual documents necessary to consummate and complete this contract. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. Section 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law.
