808RESOLUTION NO. go P y �m A RESOLUTION OF INTENT OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, TO ENTER INTO AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT WITH DAVID DONNAN KUYK; SETTING A METHOD OF COMPENSATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE A CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the City of Edgewater, Florida hereby expresses it's intent to enter into a contract of employment with David Donnan Kuyk, as Director of Public Works for the City of Edgewater, Florida. SECTION 2: That as compensation for his services the City shall be obligated to pay David Donnan Kuyk a beginning salary of $18, 000 per annum which said salary shall be increased by an amount not to exceed 1097, of the number of new customers added to the City's utility system each year. In no event shall the City be obligated to pay a salary to David Donnan Kuyk in excess of $25, 000 per annum. SECTION 3: That the City Attorney is hereby directed to prepare a formal contract of employment between the City of Edgewater, Florida and David Donnan Kuyk upon the terms and conditions set forth by the City Council and agreed to by the parties. SECTION 4: That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Edgewater, Florida. SECTION 5: That all Resolutions and parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. SECTION 6: That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law. The first reading of the Resolution was read in full and passed by a vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Fl��orida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the / f<� / day of , 1978, and approved as provided by law.
