87i RESOLUTION NO. 87
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NOMINEES FOR
THE OFFICE OF MAYOR AND COUNCILMEN OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA
TO BE ELECTED AT A REGULAR ELECTION TO BE
HELD ON NOVEMBER 2ND, A.D. 1965, AND PROVIDING
FOR THE PREPARATION AND PRINTING OF BALLOTS
FOR SAID ELECTION.
WHEREAS, petitions have been filed with the City Clerk of the City
of Edgewater, Florida, to have the names of Dana T. Armstrong and
Earl L. Tingle on the ballot at the Regular City Election to be
held on November 2nd, A.D. 1965, for the office of Mayor at large
of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and
WHEREAS, petitions have been filed with the City Clerk of the City
of Edgewater, Florida to have the name of Jacob Lodico, District #1;
and the names of William H. Cairnie and Jack J. Smith, District #2;
Paul F. Walls and Jack Witten, District #3; and Philip H. Bebbington and
John Waddington, Jr., District #4 placed on the ballot at the Regular
City Election to be held on November 2nd, A.D. 1965 for the office
of Councilmen of the four districts of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
That the names of Dana T. Armstrong and Earl L. Tingle be placed
on the official ballot as nominees for the office of Mayor for the City
of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida for the term of two years and the
said Dana T. Armstrong and Earl L. Tingle are hereby declared to be duly
nominated for said office to be filled at the Regular City Election to be
held on the 2nd day of November, A.D. 1965, and
That the names of Jacob Lodico, District #1; William H. Cairnie
and Jack J. Smith, District #2; Paul F. Walls and Jack Witten, District #3;
and Philip H. Bebbington and John Waddington, Jr., District #4 be placed on
the official ballot as nominees for the office of Councilman in their respective
Districts for a term of two years and the said Jacob lodico, District #1; William
H. Cairnie and Jack J. Smith, District #2; Paul F. Walls and Jack Witten, District #3;
and Philip H. Bebbington and John Waddington, Jr., District #4 are hereby declared
to be duly nominated for said office to be filled at the Regular City Election to
be held on November 2nd, 1965.

That the printing of necessary ballots will be in accordance
with the advice of Katherine Odham and there will be printed absentee
ballots.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all resolutions or parts of resolutions
in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby rescinded.
The above and foregoing resolution was presented by Councilman
Ridpdill who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded
by Councilman Cairnie . and upon roll call vote the said
resolution was duly declared adopted at the Recessed Meeting of said
Council held on the 2Dth day of October, A.D. 1965, the vote of said
Council on roll call being as follows:
