104RESOLUTION NO, 104 A RESOLUTION EXPREaSING THE DESIRABILITY OF A NATIONALLY OPERATED SEASHORE PARK IN SOUTHEAST VOLUSIA COUNTY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO FORWARD COPIES OF THE RESOLUTION TO THE SECRETARY OF INTERIOR UDALL, AND TO UNITED STATES SENATORS, SPESSAR➢ HOLLAND AND GEORGE A.SMATHERS, AND TO U. S. REPRESENTATIVE A. S. HERIONG, JR. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: WHEREAS, there has been proposed a seashore park under the auspices of the Department of the Interior to be located in Southeast Volusia County at or near the old Coast Guard Station; and WHEREAS, such a recreational area in Southeast Volusia County and near the City of Edgewater is highly desirable; and WHEREAS, a seashore park would give needed facilities 6dr additional ocean visitors; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS; Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, does hereby declare the desirability of having a seashore park located near the City of Edgewater in the Southeast Volusia County area. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, will cooperate fully with any governmental agency in the placement of a seashore park near the City of Edgewater, Florida. SECTion 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to forward copies of this resolution to Secretary of Interior Udall and to United States Senators Spessard Holland and George A. Smathers and to U. S. Representative A. S. Herlong, Jr. Section 4. That all Resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. Section S. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above and foregoing resolution was presented by Councilman Cairns who moved its adoption; said motion being seconded by Councilman-' Walls and upon Roll Call vote, the said resolution was duly declared adopted at the regular meeting of the said Council held on the lnd day of January, A.D. 1966, the vote of said Council on said roll call being as follows: Joy C
