119RESOLUTION NO. 3.19 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD, TAKEN AT A PUBLIC HEARING HELD APRIL 14TH, 1966 WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater, Florida, Zoning and Planning Board, held a public hearing on April 14th, 1966 to consider a variance in zoning request of Mrs. Ellen T. Cook, of 2116 Mango Tree Drive, Edgewater, Florida; AND WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of Edgewater, Florida, recommended that said variance be denied; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, that the recommendation of the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of Edgewater, Florida, in regard to the zoning variance request of Mrs. Ellen T. Cook, of 2116 Mango Tree Drive, Edgewater, be approved and said zoning variance is hereby denied BE IT FURTHER Zoning and Plannin Resolution. BE IT FURTHER of resolutions in rescinded. Cook requesting rezoning from residential to commercial that property now zoned residential, legal description of which is attached, a Public Hearing was held Thursday, April 14th, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. in the Mayor's Office in Edgewater City Hall with four members of the Edgewater Zoning and Planning Board present. All property owners within 300 feet of the area under consideration that were present at the Hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. All communications received in regard to this application were read aloud and given consideration. Your Zoning and Planning Board, incompleteaccord, recommends that the variance requested be denied. Wiggins, Sr. at 8:00 P.M. on April 14th, 1966 in the Mayor's Office in the Edgewater City Hall. ROLL CALL David L. Wiggins, Sr., Chairman Present Thomas B. Loveland Present Clifton E. Mosher Present W. K. Robinson Present Arthur I. Shafer Absent Chairman Wiggins announced this is a Public Hearing on two variance requests. Legal advertisements were placed in the Daytona Morning Journal and the Daytona Evening News on j&u t 3e, , 1966. Mr. Wiggins read from the City Ordinances stipulating those who can speak for or against the variance requests. Anyone who wished to speak was allowed three minutes to do so. The first variance request to be considered was from Ellen T. Cook, 2116 Mango Tree Drive, Edgewater, Florida. The variance was requested to permit her to have a small one booth Beauty Shop in her home. The legal description of her property was as follows: Lots 5142, 5143, and 5144, Block 177, Florida Shores No. 6, MB23 Page 109 Mr. Donald Mason, 2111 Willow Oak Drive, objected to the granting of the variance. (Mr. Mason does not live within 300 feet of the home) He said when the property owners signed contracts to porchase property they were told they could have no businesses. He felt the request was irregular, and it should be turned down. Mrs. Robert Maxwell, 2123 Orange Tree Drive, objected to the granting of the variance. "We:were told when we bought the property there wa8d be no businesses allowed. If a business is put in there all the property values will go down. The property values now are lower than when we moved there. I object to any business whatsoever coming into Florida Shores. V
