HonomWe Sin:
There Nova been previous discussions resulting from the letter of May 27, 1966 to the
City of Edgewater from the East Volusle Mosquito COntmi District requesting the low-
ering of three street ruiverts In the Highland Shores Subdivision and the sanitary sewer
crossings under time culverts.
The District desires this so that the dirt.,, draining the area between U. S. Highway
No. 1 and the F. E. C. Railroad from Marion Avenue north to the Gabordy Canal, the
north City Limits, can be deepened into a tld~or tonal, irom Gabordy Canal south
to new Park Avenue. They will also need additional right-of-way to accomplish this
deepening and widening.
It appears that the City needs and desires an engineering study and report as to the
nature and cost of the desired changes. Since not only mosquito control is concerned,
but Lisa the ultimate proper drainage of this Important area of Edgewater, the study
and report should cover the entire area drained oy this ditch -canal.
We propose to make such a study and report on this area between the F. E. C. Railroad
and U. S. Highway No. 1, from the north City Limits to approxitnately Motion A enue,
Including all necessary surreys and computations, and estimctas Gf the cost of changes
In street culvert sizes and elsvaHon, not only those presently proposed but al%D In the
foreseeable future, for the lump sum of eight hundred dollars (9600.00) R
Ely
We also propose, In the event of construction of any proposed drainage improvements,
and as instructed or authorized by the City, to furnish Plans and Specifications, Con-
sulting Services during Construction, and Resident Inspection of Construction, on the
same terms as those incorporated In the existing contract, doted September 14, 1%2
between the City of Edgewater and &Iles, 'Wild 6. Associates.
