140RESOLUTION NO. 140 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NOMINEES FOR THE OFFICE OF MAYOR OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSLS COUNTY, FLORIDA. AND PROVIDING FOR A PRIMARY CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD AUGUST 30, 1966 AND PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 13, 1966, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PREPARATION AND PRINTING OF BALLOTS FOR SAID ELECTIONS, WHEREAS, petitions have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida, to have the names of Aquilla Hussey, Earl L. Tingle and David L. Wiggins Sr., to be placed on the ballot for the office of Mayor at a primary city election to be held on August 30, 1966 in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, and to have the names of the two of the said above named candidates receiv- ing the highest number of votes in the said primary election to be placed on the ballot for the election for the office of Mayor to be held on September 13, 1966 in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the names of Aquilla Hussey, Earl L. Tingle and David L. Wiggins Sr., be placed on the official ballot as nominees for the office of Mayor for the balance of the unexpired term of Mayor now existing, and the said Aquilla Hussey, Earl L. Tingle and David L. Wiggins Sr., are hereby declared to be duly nominated for said office a4.a primary election to be held on August 30, 1966. Section 2. That the names of the two of the above mentioned nomin- sea receiving the highest number of votes at the primary city election to be held on August 30, 1966, will be placed on the official ballot as nominees for the office of Mayor for the balance of the unexpired term of Mayor now existing, at a special city election to be held on September 13. 1966. )40 Section 3. That the printing of the necessary ballots will be in accordance with the advice of Katherine Odham, and there will be printed absentee ballots. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all resolutions or parts of resolutions In conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. The above and foregoing resolution was presented by Councilman 8ehbingtnn , who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman Cairnie . Upon roll call vote, said resolution was duly declared adopted at a recessed meeting of the said City Council held on August 5, 1966, said meeting being recessed from a regular meeting of said City Council held on August 1, 1966.
