o S AN ORDINANCE APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF THE
ti c4� EDGEWATER ZONING BOARD AND GRANTING THE REQUEST
'++ AND APPLICATION OF THE EDGEWATER DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION FOR REZONING OF A PORTION OF LOT
32-A OF G. ALVAREZ GRANT FROM RESIDENTIAL TO
o COMMERCIAL FOR THE PURPOSE OF USING SAME AS A
TRAILER PARK.
WHEREAS, pursuant to applicable ordinances of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, and after due notice the Edgewater Zoning
Board did, on May 19, 1967, hold a public hearing upon the
application of the Edgewater Development Corporation to rezone
a portion of Lot 32-A of the G. Alvarez Grant from residential
to commercial in order to facilitate the expansion of an existing
trailer park, and
WHEREAS, the Edgewater Zoning Board after due consideration did
place certain restrictions upon its recommendation that the
said property be rezoned from residential to commercial, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the said findings and
recommendations of the Edgewater Zoning Board together with
provisions and conditions.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the findings and recommendations of the
Edgewater Zoning Board relative to the rezoning of a portion of
Lot 32-A of the G. Alvarez Grant in the City of Edgewater, Volusia
County, Florida, from residential to commercial be and the same
is hereby approved and that portion of the following described
land that has heretofore been zone residential shall, from the
passage and adoption of this ordinance, be hereafter zoned
commercial:
Lot 32-A of G. Alvarez Grant, section 52, township
17 South, Range 34 East, being also more particularly
described as follows: a certain parcel of land in
Hawks Park, Volusia County, Florida described as
follows: Beginning at a point on the West line of
Ridgewood Avenue of the Northeast corner of the land

of P. C. Kimball and running thence Westerly along
land of Kimball 40 rods thence northerly along land
of Kimball 20 rods, thence easterly to Ridgewood
Avenue 40 rods, thence Southerly along the West line
of Ridgewood 20 rods to the place of beginning, con-
taining 5 acres more or less.
Section 2. That the said rezoning from residental to commercial
of the above described land be and the same is hereby granted
upon the condition that (a) the said land be used as a trailer
park only (b) if no progress towards developement of the land
being rezoned has been made within 12 months from date of
passage and adoption of this ordinance, this ordinance shall
become void and the said land shall revert to residential zoning
status.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting
of said Council held on June 5, 1967.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of
reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the
ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 5th day
of June A. D., 1967, and approved as provided by law, the vote of
said Council being as follows:
