PORTION OF CONNECTICUT AVENUE BEING VA-
CATED BEING ALL THAT PORTION OF CONNECTI-
CUT AVENUE LYING WEST OF THE WEST RIGHT
OF WAY LINE OF U. S. HIGHWAY NO. 1 AND
EASTERLY OF A SOUTH PROLONGATION OF THE
WEST LINE OF THE EAST TEN FEET OF LOT
453 OF SAID HAWK'S PARK SUBDIVISION IN
THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING THAT THE ABANDON-
ED AND VACATED PORTION OF CONNECTICUT
AVENUE SHALL REVERT TO THE ABUTTING
PROPERTY OWNER OR OWNERS AND SPECIFICALLY
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 275 AND DECLARING
THE SAME TO BE NULL AND VOID AND OF NO
FORCE AND EFFECT WHATSOEVER.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida did on the 4th day of December, 1967 adopt a Resolution
of intention to vacate that part of Connecticut Avenue as shown
on the plat of Hawk's Park Subdivision as recorded in Map Book 1,
Page 156, Public Records of Volusia County, Florida, the said
portion of Connecticut Avenue to be vacated lying West of the
West right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 1 and East of South
prolongation of the West line of the East ten (10) feet of Lot 453
of said Hawk's Park Subdivision, and providing for the service of
notice to abutting and affected property owners and declaring a
public hearing for the purpose of hearing objections to said in-
tention, and
WHEREAS, a waiver of service has been filed with the
City Clerk by the only abutting property owner along that portion
of Connecticut Avenue to be vacated, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing for the purpose of hearing
objections has been held by the City Council on December 18, 1967
at the Community Center in the City of Edgewater, Florida in con-
junction with a regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council
beginning at 7:30 o'clock P. M.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
00 SECTION 1. That the part of Connecticut Avenue in

the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida as shown on the
plat of Hawk's Park Subdivision as recorded in Map Book 1, Page
156, Public Records of Volusia County, Florida, the said portion
of Connecticut Avenue lying West of the West Right of Way line of
U. S. Highway No. 1 and Easterly of a South prolongation of the
West line of the East ten (10) feet of Lot 453 of said Hawk's
Park Subdivision, be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned
by the City of Edgewater, Florida.
_ SECTION 2.
Those portions
of that
part of Connecticut
Avenue so vacated shall
revert to the
abutting
property owner or
owners by operation of law.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance is enacted pursuant to the
provisions of Section 112, Chapter 27532, Laws of Florida, Special
Acts 1951, the same being the Charter of the City of Edgewater,
Florida.
SECTION 4. That Ordinance No. 275 enacted on April 3,
1961 be and the same is hereby repealed ab anitio and declared
null and void and to be of no force and effect whatsoever.
SECTION 5. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6.
This Ordinance
shall take
effect
immediately
upon its passage by the
City Council
and approval
by the
Mayor.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by
vote of the City Council, City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular
meeting of said City Council held on December 18, 1967.

Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the re-
quirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived
and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edge-
water, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
18th day of December, 1967 and approved as provided by law, the
vote of said Council on roll call being as follows:
