CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
TO PROVIDE THAT REINSPECTION FEES SHALL BE
INCREASED; PROVIDING FOR A FEE FOR UNSCHEDULED
REINSPECTIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS the Building Code Board of the City of Edgewater,
Florida has recommended to the City Council that the inspection
fee be increased to $15.00 for the second inspection and increased
an additional $5.00 for each and every unscheduled reinspection;

EDGEWATER, FLORIDA!
SECTION 1. Section 107.4(f) of the Standard Building Code
as adopted by the Southern Building Code Congress International,
Inc., and as adopted by the City of Edgewater, Florida, by Sec.
7-20, Code of Ordinances, City of Edgewater, Florida, shall be
amended to read as follows:
Section 107.4(f) Reinspection. At any time the
building official is obligated to reinspect any building
or premises, mobile home lot or mobile home within the
city to ascertain compliance with the codes as adopted
by the city regarding building, electrical, plumbing,
mechanical, gas and other, a reinspection fee of fX00
d6XXAfOlf$S<001 fifteen dollars ($15.00) shall be levied
fOt O600 for the second inspection.
Thereafter a fee of five dollars ($5.00) shall be levied
for each and every unscheduled reinspection.
SECTION 2. This amendment shall be reflected within Section
7-21, Code of Ordinances, City of Edgewater, Florida.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage as provided by law.
SECTION 4. The city clerk shall advertise this ordinance by
title only at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in
the city of Edgewater, Florida. _
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed.
The first reading of this ordinance was by title only and was
passed by a vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Flea, at a regular meeting thereof held on the .CJ day of
Sf, 1982, and authenticated as provided by law.
The second reading of this ordinance was by title only and
was approved by a majority vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, following a public hearing thereon, held on
the day of , 19B2, and authenticated as provided
by law.
