OF EDGEWATER; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; CONTAINING
A REPEALER PROVISION, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND
CLERK OFCMiT WIR PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, by Ordinance 84-0-18
and pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, has annexed certain real property
to the City of Edgewater, more particularly described as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater has determined that
it will be in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Edgewater to change
the zoning from B4/R3 of Volusia Countyto R-1, Single Family Residence, as
provided by the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and said
change being in conformity with the general scheme of zoning within the City
of Edgewater, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater has determined that
such a change is consistent with and beneficial to the orderly growth of the City
of Edgewater, and
WHEREAS, the Volusia County Council has, pursuant to Chapter 171.062(2),to
approve any change in density;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Edgewater is hereby
amended by including within the R-1, Single Family Residence, the property described
in Appendix A, copy attached hereto and by reference incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That upon the adoption of this Ordinance the Official Zoning
Map of the City of Edgewater shall be amended to reflect the addition to R-1,
Single Family Residence, as set forth in Section 1 of this Ordinance. The newly
created zoning district described in Section I shall be governed by Section 602.00,
602.01 and other applicable Sections of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Edgewater. Said Map shall be posted by the City Clerk in the proper locations

in City Hall for viewing by the ct izens of the City of Edgewater.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this Ordinance
as provided by law.
SECTION 4. All ordinance, or parts of ordinances and all resolutions or
parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. If any section, part of a section, paragraph, clause, phrase,
or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this
ordinance shall not be affected.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect ter— upon its
adoption by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and approval
as provided by law.
