A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; APPROVING THE
GUIDELINES FOR SPECIAL INTEREST PROGRAMS IN
CITY PARKS, REPEALING RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City encourages special recreation programs for the purpose of
providing recreation and education to the general public; and
WHEREAS, the City may provide parks, preserves, playgrounds, recreation areas, and
other recreation facilities and programs for special interest recreation programs; and
WHEREAS, the City has accepted the Instructor's proposal to provide special interest
recreation programs for the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the operation of said program will mutually benefit the parties hereto and
the residents of Edgewater, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida as follows:
Section 1. The City Council has determined that the policy titled "Guidelines for
Special Interest Programs in City Parks Policy" (attached hereto and incorporated herein) is
hereby established and approved for inclusion into the Administrative Policy Manual.
Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this
Resolution, or application hereof, is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any Court,
such portion or application shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision, and
such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications hereof.

Section 3. All resolutions or parts Of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.

Programs in City Parks Policy
PURPOSE:
These general and flexible guidelines are submitted for use with Special Interest Recreation Programs and Special
Interest in City Parks for the purpose of providing recreation and education to the general public.
Use Application: City of Edgewater Instructor Agreement,

This policy, Instructor Agreement and associated fee of 30% of gross registrations is directed toward For -Profit
Businesses seeking to operate their special recreation program(s) in city facilities.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
1) The requesting business shall complete and submit the City of Edgewater Instructor Agreement and all required
documentation as outlined therein to the City's Parks & Recreation Department,
2) Parks & Recreation Department shall have thirty (30) days to review and verify with the assistance from the City
Clerk's office and Finance Department ,
3) Once all documentation is verified, the City Manager will have the, authority to execute the agreement,
