AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA,. AMENDING APPENDIX A,
ZONING, SECTIONS 606.01 (b) AND 606.01 (d),
3-2 NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT, OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, BY ALLOWING AUCTION SERVICE WITH
CERTAIN EXCLUSIONS; BY ALLOWING RECREATIONAL
BUSINESS AS A PERMITTED USE AND BY ALLOWING
CHURCHES FROM INDIAN. RIVER BOULEVARD TO'30TH
STREET AS A SPECIAL EXCEPTION IN B-2; CONTAINING
A REPEALER PROVISION; A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Boabd of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, at their regular meeting of March 20, 1986
recommended revisions to the B-2 Zoning District, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater at
their regular meeting of April 21, 1986, considered this recommen-
dation and authorized the City Attorney to prepare an Ordinance
on the subject;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Appendix A, Section 606.01 (b) of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewater, Florida, is hereby
amended as follows:*
ARTICLE VI, DISTRICT USE REGULATIONS AND
REQUIREMENTS
Section 606.01 - B-2 Neighborhood Business District
(b) Permitted uses:
Auction service excluding motor vehicles, motor-
cycles, boats, or any other items or equipment which
requires licensing from Volusia County or the
State of Florida.
Recreational Business, including archery ranges
bowling alleys, boxing or sports arenas, golf
driving ranges, miniature or par three golf courses,
skating rinks, swimming pools.
SECTION 2. Appendix A, Section 606.01 (d), B-2 Neighbor-
hood Business District of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, is hereby amended as follows:
* Deleted language has been lined-threegk and new language underscored.
ARTICLE VI, DISTRICT USE REGULATIONS
AND REQUIREMENTS
Section 606.01 - B-2 Neighborhood Business District
(d) Special exceptions: Unclassified business should
apply to city zoning board for approval.
(d.2) Churches from Indian River Boulevard to 30th Street.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances and all
resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. If any section, part of a section, paragraph,
clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the
remaining provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, and approval as provided by law.

This ordinance was read on first reading and passed by a
vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a
regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2nd day
of June 1986, and approved as provided by law.
The second reading of this ordinance to be at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the city of Edgewater, Florida, to be
held on the 16th day of June , 1986.
